What is Nationally Recognised Training?
Nationally Recognised Training is offered as courses of study that are part of a national set of standards. The standards are set for both Central College Online as a Registered Training Organisation and the courses that we deliver and assess. These standards are set in conjunction with industry – which means that the training remains relevant and up-to-date and is agreed by industry to meet their requirements. Once you complete a qualification that is Nationally Recognised Training you will receive a Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma that has the Nationally Recognised Training logo on it. Only a Registered Training Organisation such as Central College Online can issue these.
Skill Sets are short courses usually made up of only a few units. These unit combinations typically link to an industry licensing requirement. An example is the BAS Skill Set, which is great for small business people to be able to learn how to file their own Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements. Because it’s an official Skill Set it is also recognised by the Tax Practitioners Board towards licensing requirements for those wishing to lodge BASs and IASs for companies. Completely flexible learning, Skill Sets are a quick way to help Launch Your Career.
Short Courses allow you to study something useful for your work or career or a topic that you are particularly interested in. Short courses are very flexible and easy for a lay-person to understand. Many of our Short Courses are actual “Units of Competency” from full courses – that means that you could use it as credit towards a full qualification – now that’s smart! Whether you’re studying a Short Course, Skill Set or Nationally Recognised Qualification your course will be entirely flexible and you will be entitled to Central College Online’s famous support.
